History

Three decades of innovation.

Our roots began in 1999, when digital media pioneers Frank Grasso and Dr Narelle Hutchesson established Australian SEO and digital media agency Dynamic Creative.

Over the next decade, the Adelaide-based company grew to become the leading paid advertising agency in Australia. It also developed proprietary advertising technology including leading product feed software for online shopping.

After building a strong reputation and loyal client base over many years, Dynamic Creative evolved into two businesses: AdTech company FeedOps and a new premium digital media business.

The year was 2020. And the name we chose? RQmedia.

So, what does the mysterious ‘RQ’ represent? 
It stands for Relationship Quality – the most fundamental aspect of any enduring client-agency partnership (it also stands for Really Quick and Reliably Quantifiable!).

Fast forward to 2023 and RQmedia joined the Merchantwise Group, merging with Sydney-based agency inc Digital Media and specialist email businesses SmartMail and MashrMail under the leadership of CEO Dr Narelle Hutchesson. An expert creative team was added, providing rapid content production capabilities.

With an expert team, extensive capabilities and geographic reach, RQmedia is now delivering performance, service and value to clients throughout Australia and the world.

Timeline

1999
Dynamic Creative (DC) established by Frank Grasso and Dr Narelle Hutchesson, providing SEO and digital media services.
2005
DC develops long tail search software for paid advertising in the travel and related sectors.
2008
DC becomes the leading paid advertising agency in Australia.
2012
DC appointed as media agency for Fiji Airways.
2013
inc Digital Media agency established in Sydney by Australian Radio Network.

SmartMail established by founder Daniel Kohn, providing email marketing services to e-commerce clients throughout the world.
2015
DC introduces specialist media services for e-commerce. MashrMail email software is first developed for Disneyland Paris.
2017
DC develops proprietary product feed software for Google Shopping (Pmax) and other platforms.
2018
DC appointed as media agency for True Alliance.
SmartMail acquired by Merchantwise Group.
2019
DC wins back-to-back Google Premier Partner Awards.
2020
Dynamic Creative separates into two businesses:
- FeedOps – advertising technology
- RQmedia – media and performance marketing
inc Digital Media acquired by Merchantwise Group.
2021
RQ wins Microsoft Rising Star Award.
2022

As CEO, Narelle is the strategic force behind all things business development, customer relationship management and client media strategy. Her mantra is simple: use data to drive decisions and communicate them transparently.
