The challenge
  • Brand new Google account and website with no search intent or brand recognition
  • Previous online partner had only achieved 2:1 POAS
  • Bold target set: 8:1 ROAS by EOFY on $70–90k monthly ad spend
The approach
  • Launched with Product Search and Performance Max campaigns using an optimised product data feed
  • Used Value Based Bidding starting at 3:1 target ROAS, growing incrementally by 0.5:1 each month
  • Demand Gen showcased top-selling products and was designed to complement and amplify Search and PMax performance
  • Mid-campaign, introduced Demand Gen at $10k/month to accelerate brand awareness and new customer acquisition using first-party data
The results
  • Surpassed 8:1 ROAS target two months early, on an $80k spend
  • Achieved this during a shortened trading period over Easter and ANZAC Day
  • Client immediately raised the target to 10:1
  • Hit 8.8:1 ROAS the following month on $91k spend
  • Demand Gen now runs as a permanent part of the campaign mix
